The function of the cell is to look into the complaints raised by any student or faculty, and pursuing the grievance procedure in accordance with the rules and regulations of the College.<\/p>\n<p>The Student Grievance Committee (SGC) is a vital component of any educational institution, serving as a mechanism for addressing and resolving student grievances in a fair and impartial manner. OCER has set some code of conduct based on the grievance cell. The institution is obliged to be tasked with handling and resolving grievances and complaints raised by students regarding academic, administrative, or interpersonal issues. Student Grievance Committee has been established in the year 2022. Any violation of ragging and disciplinary rules should be urgently brought to the notice of the Principal.<\/li>\n<li>To co-ordinate between students, teachers &amp; administration to redress the grievances.<\/li>\n<li>To guide ways and means to the staff &amp; students in order to redress their problems.<\/li>\n<li>It shall be the endeavor of the Grievance Redressal cell to ensure redressal\/disposal of every grievance within a period of one months of the receipt of application\/grievance complaint.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive Complaints: The SGC is responsible for receiving grievances from students through formal channels.<\/li>\n<li>Investigate: It investigates the nature and validity of the grievances raised by students.<\/li>\n<li>Mediate: It mediates disputes between students and faculty\/staff or among students themselves.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend Solutions: Based on its investigation, the committee recommends appropriate solutions or actions to resolve the grievances.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain Confidentiality: Ensures confidentiality throughout the grievance process to protect the privacy of involved parties.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Fairness: Ensures that the grievance resolution process is fair, impartial, and transparent.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor Compliance: Monitors the implementation of recommended solutions to ensure compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Procedure of Action Taken:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submission of Grievance: Students submit their grievances in writing to the committee, detailing the nature of the issue, relevant evidence, and desired resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Initial Review: The committee reviews the grievance to determine its validity and whether it falls within its jurisdiction.<\/li>\n<li>Investigation: If the grievance is deemed valid, the committee conducts an investigation, which may involve gathering additional information, interviewing involved parties, and reviewing relevant documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Mediation or Resolution: Depending on the nature of the grievance, the committee may facilitate mediation between parties or recommend specific actions to resolve the issue.<\/li>\n<li>Decision and Communication: The committee communicates its decision to the involved parties in writing, outlining the rationale behind the decision and any recommended actions.<\/li>\n<li>Follow-Up: The committee monitors the implementation of recommended solutions and may conduct follow-up reviews to ensure satisfactory resolution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Activities conducted by the Grievance Redressal Committee are:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>. The <strong>Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC)<\/strong> is responsible for addressing complaints and concerns raised by students, staff, and other stakeholders in an institution or organization. The activities conducted by the committee typically include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Receiving Complaints<\/strong> \u2013 Collecting grievances through designated channels such as complaint boxes, emails, or online portals.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Review and Acknowledgment<\/strong> \u2013 Examining the nature of grievances and acknowledging receipt to the complainant.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Investigation &amp; Inquiry<\/strong> \u2013 Conducting fair and unbiased investigations, gathering evidence, and interviewing relevant parties.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mediation &amp; Resolution<\/strong> \u2013 Attempting to resolve issues amicably through discussions, mediation, or necessary interventions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Decision
