Introduction

The Inclusive Cell of the institution aims to promote an inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of all learners. It advocates for equality, accessibility, and a barrier-free environment for students with varied learning, physical, emotional, and social needs. In alignment with the vision of NEP 2020, the Cell fosters awareness, sensitivity, and inclusion in the teaching-learning process and institutional culture.

Objectives

  1. To create awareness about inclusive education and promote sensitivity among students and staff.
  2. To ensure equal opportunities and accessibility for students with diverse abilities and needs.
  3. To organize sensitization programs, community outreach, and inclusive celebrations.
  4. To collaborate with external organizations to facilitate experiential learning and support for differently-abled individuals.

Activities of the Inclusive Cell

  1. Sensitization and Awareness Workshops
    Organizing workshops, seminars, and guest lectures to promote awareness about inclusive education, disabilities, neurodiversity, and the rights of differently-abled individuals.
  2. Observance of Important Days
    Celebrating days like International Day of Persons with Disabilities (3rd December), World Autism Awareness Day, etc., through cultural programs, exhibitions, and student-led initiatives to build empathy and understanding.
  3. Community Outreach and Service
    Facilitating visits and volunteering opportunities for students at organizations or homes for differently-abled individuals to encourage hands-on experience and social responsibility.
  4. Inclusive Events and Competitions
    Conducting inclusive sports, art, storytelling, and other co-curricular activities that encourage participation of students from all backgrounds and abilities.
  5. Collaboration with NGOs and Experts
    Partnering with NGOs, therapists, and special educators to offer professional insights, conduct interactive sessions, and provide support services or training.
