Preamble
We, the members of the Student Council, recognizing the need to foster leadership, promote student welfare, and enhance educational experience, do hereby establish this council to serve as a representative body. Our mission is to create a platform that encourages active participation, collaboration, and holistic development of the student community while upholding the values of integrity, responsibility, and excellence. Through our collective efforts, we strive to create an inclusive environment where students can voice their opinions, contribute to institutional growth, and develop essential life skills for their future endeavors.

STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTION 2018-2020
Student council is a group of students elected by peers to participate in designated areas of college regime. Students who participate in student councils, under the supervision of a teacher or administrator, learn about the democratic process, civic responsibility, leadership, problem solving, and teamwork. The members are duly elected in the General Election of the College for one year in accordance with Student’s Union Constitution of the University.
Students’ Council is a student-run association. Student self-governance is strongly related to the values and ideals of the College, including the Honor Code; students are afforded a large amount of autonomy and may use this opportunity to craft the kinds of experiences they wish to have. The student council organizes several co-curricular and extra-curricular activities throughout the year for all the students to participate based on their interest and inclination
Election to the Student council for the Academic year 2018-2020 was conducted in Oriental College of Education and Research, Andheri (W) on Saturday, 27th October 2017.
President of the program Principal Dr.Naaz Dhakam, Asst. Professor. Mr. Janardhan. And Mr Amit elaborated on election procedure and wished the candidates. Students Council In-charge Professor briefed the rule pertaining to election, this was followed students council election in democratic procedure. Ms. Neha Sharma was declared General Secretary and Ms. Vaibhavi Chaddha was declared Asst. General Secretary.

Student  Council Election Year 2015-2017
In keeping with the requirements of the B.Ed course to prepare teachers to become leaders a council is formed comprising of students representatives elected by the students themselves. This makes up the Student Council. ‘Student council elections’, is the most awaited activity for the B.Ed students. In the present academic year student council elections were held on the 10th of October’15. The preparations for the forthcoming elections begins 10 days prior to the day of the elections. The students were given a brief idea about the formation of the council and the kind of responsibilities which they would need to shoulder by the student council incharge.
Hereafter the candidates who are interested in taking up the responsibility of the council are asked to introduce themselves to the class and highlight their qualities essential to become a leader. The elections are held in a very transparent manner with only the students voting for their desired candidate. Candidate securing the highest number of votes is elected as the General Secretary. The remaining candidates are assigned different posts in the council based on the number of votes received in descending order.
